In letters to customers this week, Nucor and Steel Dynamics, Inc. announced that published prices on wide flange beams will increase by $1.50 cwt. ($30/nt or $33/mt), effective immediately.

No reasons for the increase were given in either letter, but other US domestic wide flange beam mills are expected to follow suit.

The new published base price for W10x10, 49-112mm beams is now $32.00 cwt. ($640/nt or $705/mt) ex-mill.
