Effective with shipments May 11, 2010, Nucor Bar Mill Group's Raw Materials Surcharge (RMS) applicable to concrete reinforcing bars, merchant bars and structural products will be $273/nt ($13.65 cwt. or $301/mt), decreasing by $20/nt ($1.00/cwt or $22/mt) from the May 1-applicable surcharge.
The net effect of this move is that transaction pricing for reinforcing bars, merchant bars and structural products will decrease by $20/nt ($1.00/cwt or $22/mt).
