Nucor announces increase in transaction pricing for rebar, merchant bar and structural products
Effective with shipments October 1, 2010, Nucor Bar Mill Group's Raw Materials Surcharge (RMS) applicable to concrete reinforcing bars, merchant bar and structural products will be $208/nt ($10.40 cwt. or $229/mt), reflecting an increase of $28/nt ($1.40 cwt. or $31/mt) when compared to our August 11, 2010 surcharge.
Additionally, the company will decrease the base price for concrete reinforcing bar, merchant
bar and structural products by $8/nt ($0.40 cwt. or $9/mt). The net effect of this move is that transaction pricing for concrete reinforcing bars, merchant bar and structural products will increase by $20/nt ($1.00 cwt. or $22/mt).
