The price of domestic Mexican wire rod fell US$10/mt ex-mill during the last three weeks, to reach $757/mt ex-mill.

Despite an increase in demand from public and private works executed in the last three months—with a value totaling 10.668 billion Mexican pesos (US$820 million), versus 9.997 billion Mexican pesos (US$769 million) in the same period last year—sources say prices are not catching up easily.
