In the Turkish domestic merchant bar market prices have continued to show variation depending on raw material and semi-finished material prices as well as the $/TRY exchange rate, rather than demand levels. As of today, August 4, merchant bar prices in the Turkish domestic market, depending on size, thickness and region, are at the following levels: small IPN-UPN are priced at TRY 780-820/mt ($534-561/mt), angles are at TRY 770-810/mt ($527-555/mt), while flat bars and square bars are at TRY 800-830/mt ($548-568/mt) - all prices are ex-works, on actual weight basis and excluding VAT.
Also, it should be considered that some mills may give offers below these levels depending on their stocks.
