Merchant bar prices in local Spanish market

End-user demand in the local Spanish market is low at the moment. It is heard that some producers in this market have reduced their merchant bar production and turned their attention to billet exports. Merchant bar prices in the local Spanish market, depending on size, thickness, regions, and also on the sales price levels of traders (with previously taken positions) which are lower than the mills' prices, have this week been at the following levels:

Angles:

40-50-60 mm

€870-885/mt

100 x 100 x 10 mm

€880/mt

Squares:

10-25 mm

IPN-UPN:

100-160 mm

  €900/mt

200-220 mm

  €1,050/mt
