Merchant bar prices in local Spanish market

End-user demand in the local Spanish market is low at the moment. Having increased their base prices as of the beginning of May by €40-50/mt due to the raw material costs, the Spanish producers increased their base prices by a further €50-60/mt at the beginning of this week.

Merchant bar prices in the local Spanish market, depending on size, thickness, regions, and also on the sales price levels of traders (with previously taken positions) which are lower than the mills' prices, have this week been at the following levels:

Angles:

40-50-60 mm

€855-870/mt

100 x 100 x 10 mm

€855/mt

Squares:

10-25 mm

 €830/mt

IPN-UPN:

80 mm

  €855/mt

100-160 mm

  €850/mt

200-220 mm

  €1,030/mt

All prices are ex-works, excluding VAT, on actual weight basis and for two-to-three month deferred payment.
