Merchant bar and small section prices in the US

Effective with July shipments, Nucor's raw materials surcharge (RMS) will be $378 /nt ($18.90 cwt. or $417 /mt), a decrease of $25 /nt ($1.25 cwt. or $27.56 /mt) from June's RMS. Additionally, the company is also increasing its base prices for its merchant bar products by $60 /nt ($3.00 cwt. or $66 /mt), resulting in a $35 /nt ($1.75 cwt. or $38.58 /mt) increase in transaction prices for July shipments.

$50.45 cwt ($1,112 /mt or $1,009 /nt)

Flat bars

3/16 x 2":

$58.15 cwt ($1,282 /mt or $1,163 /nt)

1/2 x 4":

$50.65 cwt ($1,117 /mt or $1,013 /nt)

Square bar

1":

$52.40 cwt ($1,155 /mt or $1,048 /nt)

Round bar

1":

$51.85 cwt ($1,143 /mt or $1,037 /nt)

Channels

3 x 3.5:

$52.40 cwt ($1,155 /mt or $1,048 /nt)

 

Prices above include RMS and are effective to customers.

May RMS:

$19.65 cwt. ($433 /mt or $393 /nt)

June RMS:

$20.15 cwt. ($444 /mt or $403 /nt)

July RMS:

$18.90 cwt. ($417 /mt or $378 /nt)
