Effective with June shipments, Nucor's raw materials surcharge (RMS) will be $403 /nt ($20.15 cwt. or $444 /mt), an increase of $10 /nt ($0.50 cwt. or $11 /mt) from May's RMS. Additionally, the company is also increasing its base prices for its merchant bar products by $30 /nt ($1.50 cwt. or $33 /mt), resulting in a $40 /nt ($2.00 cwt. or $44 /mt) increase in transaction prices for June shipments.
