Local Turkish wire rod prices fall in line with lower scrap quotations

SteelOrbis has been informed by market sources that local producers' price levels in the Turkish domestic market for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:

The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, exclude VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes.
 
Following the decline recorded in scrap and billet prices, Turkish wire rod producers have reduced their domestic wire rod prices by $15-20/mt week on week. Buyers have slowed down their wire rod purchases with the expectation of a further decline in domestic wire rod prices and demand in the local Turkish wire rod market is slightly lower compared to last week, sources add.
