During the past week, domestic wire rod prices in Turkey have decreased by $30/mt amid the increasing downward pressure on Turkish steel producers as a result of the declines seen in Chinese billet prices and due to the weak demand conditions in the local Turkish market. However, buyers have adopted a cautious approach to new deals as it is mostly expected that domestic wire rod prices in Turkey will fall further in the coming days, and so buyers are still only concluding wire rod purchases in line with their needs.
