Demand in the local Turkish rebar market has remained at low levels during the past week, while domestic rebar prices have continued their upward movement in the same period. Buyers in the Turkish market are unwilling to conclude rebar deals except for their immediate needs. However, import scrap and billet quotations in Turkey are still moving on an increasing trend. Since production costs for Turkish steelmakers' have been rising, Turkish mills have raised their rebar quotations for the domestic and export markets. As a result, traders in the local Turkish rebar market have increased their offers further.
