SteelOrbis has been informed that the local billet prices in the Turkish market are standing at the level of $790-800/mt ex-works, excluding VAT.

The local shortage of demand in longs products and the resulting reduction in the prices for rebar and merchant bars is also causing a softening in semis prices. Another reason behind the fall in prices can be seen as the sagging raw material prices.
