Market sources report that local billet prices in the Iranian market have declined by $10-15/mt over the past month to $506-510/mt ex-works, including eight percent VAT. Meanwhile, Iran's billet export offers are at $510/mt FOB.

Iranian billet producers have been focusing on their own market for sales as local demand for billet is on the strong side. In the meantime, market sources indicate that some Iranian traders have moved to sell billet to Turkey.
