SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that Spanish rebar export offers have increased by €10/mt ($14/mt) over the past week and are now in the range of €445-450/mt ($614-621/mt) FOB.

Spanish rebar producers have reduced their capacity utilization rates in order to provide support for the upward adjustment of their rebar prices. However, market sources report that Italian rebar export offers are at €440/mt($607/mt) FOB and thus buyers are unlikely to accept Spanish offers.

Meanwhile, Spanish domestic rebar prices have been stable since last week, remaining in the range of €450-460/mt ($621-635/mt) delivered.
