Latest situation in Vietnamese billet market

According to market sources, billet prices in the local Vietnamese market have declined by VND 600/mt ($28/mt) compared to two weeks ago to the range of VND 9,100-9,200/mt ($417-422/mt) ex-warehouse, for May shipment.
 
On the other hand, looking at the import side, deals for Chinese billet concluded in the Vietnamese market during the past week have been in the range of $345-350/mt CFR for June shipment, indicating a decline of $10/mt compared to the price levels of the transactions concluded two weeks ago.
