According to market sources, the local Turkish rebar market has started the current week with a rise in prices. Turkish traders have revised their prices upward amid the ongoing firmness of scrap prices and the completion of the presidential election. Meanwhile, the strengthening of the dollar against the Turkish lira has also supported the upward movement of prices. On the other hand, Turkish producers' rebar offers are at TRY 1,246-1,254/mt ($580-583/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT. Market sources state that demand in the local Turkish market is quiet.
