Traders in the local Turkish rebar market have increased their prices after local mill Icdas' upward price announcement yesterday, August 21.
With the Turkish lira falling to 2.18 against the US dollar - its weakest level of the last five months - and with the ongoing increases in import scrap prices, Turkish domestic rebar prices have found enough support. Meanwhile, transaction volumes have remained at moderate levels this week, though market players believe that the revised prices will likely gain acceptance in the coming week.
