Demand is trending slack in the Turkish domestic merchant bar market. As of today, July 29, merchant bar prices in the Turkish domestic steel market, depending on size, thickness and region, are at the following levels: small IPN-UPN are priced at TRY 891-940/mt ($588-621/mt), angles are at TRY 891-940/mt (588-621$/mt), while flat bars and square bars are at TRY 930-960/mt (615-635$/mt) - all prices are ex-works, on actual weight basis and excluding VAT.
Also, it should be considered that some mills may give offers below these levels depending on their stocks.
