During the past two weeks, demand for domestic production merchant bar in Turkey has improved slightly due to the ongoing upward movement of raw material and finished steel quotations, though demand is still at low levels. Despite the weakness of demand, the continuing rises recorded in raw material and finished steel prices have caused Turkish merchant bar producers to increase their domestic offers by TRY 30-75 compared to the price levels recorded on October 13.
