According to market insiders, since last week ex-Georgia 100 mm x 100 mm 3SP/PS billet sales have been concluded to Africa at $550/mt CFR, for July production. The Georgian producer in question has filled most of its order book, while demand from Turkey for Georgian billet has been weak in the same period.

Meanwhile, offers for locally produced rebar in the Georgian market are in the range of $605-635/mt ex-works, excluding 18 percent VAT.
