Latest ex-CIS billet transaction prices in Turkey

SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that this week transaction prices for steel billet from the CIS to Turkey are at about $540-545/mt CFR.
 
Steel billet availability in the spot market in Turkey's Iskenderun region is still tight, while a transaction for 10,000 mt of steel billet is heard to have been concluded at $540/mt CFR via a trader and another transaction has been concluded to the same region at $533/mt CFR but this time for secondary grade material. In the meantime, an ex-CIS steel billet cargo transaction to Turkey's Marmara region has also been concluded at $540/mt CFR.
 
Import steel billet demand is still lively in Turkey.
