Kardemir raises rebar prices

With its new price list dated January 13, 2009, Turkish steel producer Kardemir has raised its domestic sales prices for rebars of 12-22 mm diameter, thus opening the products in question for domestic sales.

Accordingly, Kardemir has opened its domestic sales for 12-22 mm diameter rebar at the price level of TRY 920.40/mt ($488.58/mt + VAT) ex-works, up TRY 115.65/mt ($61.37/mt + VAT) for 1,000 mt and above orders, with 25 percent on cash payment basis, with 25 percent each on 30-day, 60-day and 90-day deferred payment basis, and with no interest accruing due to payment deferral. The producer has closed its sales as of the same date.
