In the Jordanian domestic rebar market, demand is still at good levels and prices have been maintained at previous levels.

Accordingly, medium sized rebar prices in Jordan are currently standing at the price range of JOD 645-650/mt ($911-918/mt) ex-works, including eight percent VAT, on actual weight basis, for 30-day deferred payment. This price range indicates no change as compared to two weeks ago.

In the meantime, the latest steel billet import offers to Jordan from Turkey and the CIS are standing at $660-670/mt CFR on actual weight basis. However, while steel billet offers to the country have increased lately, no new transactions have been heard so far at the increased price levels since cargoes of previously concluded steel billet transactions totaling approximately 30,000 mt are expected to arrive in Jordan by late December and late January.
