Italian rebar mills adjust prices in very sluggish local market

Italian rebar producers have raised their prices in the past week as expected, increasing them by €10-20/mt ($14-28/mt) to €445-455/mt ($614-628/mt) ex-works. The price increase, as noted by SteelOrbis sources, has not led to any change in the local demand situation. In fact, demand in the local rebar market continues to be extremely slack, with customers buying only what they urgently need. Local sources do not foresee any significant changes in the market situation in the coming period.
