Israeli mills seek acceptance for their increased rebar prices

Rebar demand in Israel is lively, in line with good activity levels in the country’s construction industry. Israeli mills have lately increased their rebar offers to their local market, in line with Turkish mills’ recent price hikes, to the levels of $830-840/mt ex-works, excluding 15.5 percent VAT, on actual weight basis. However, this price range has failed to find acceptance in the domestic market so far and buyers prefer to maintain a wait-and-see stance.
