According to market sources, rebar offers from Turkey's Iskenderun region to the Iraqi market stand in the range of $590-595/mt ex-works, while demand in Iraq is at medium levels. In the meantime, a major steelmaker in the Iskenderun region will carry out overhaul works starting in February for a period of 20 days, which will likely interrupt the delivery for about 60,000 mt of rebar from Turkey to Iraq and cause availability shortages in Iraq. In this context, import offers to Iraq may indicate some increases in the coming period.
