Iraqi rebar market experiences stagnancy

New construction projects in Iraq have been affected negatively by decreases in house prices. Meanwhile, the Iraqi rebar market has been experiencing stagnancy in terms of market activity as compared to the previous month, while rebar offers are standing at $690/mt ex-warehouse.

On the other hand, ex-Turkey rebar offers from the Iskenderun region are at $620/mt ex-works. The high levels of rebar offers from Turkey's Iskenderun region, which significantly exceed domestic and global price levels, have afforded some relief for Iraqi steel mills.
