Ex-CIS high carbon WR offers to southern Pakistan are currently at $540-550/mt CFR for June production and July shipment, whereas Indonesia origin offers for the same material to the same region are at $575-585/mt CFR for June shipment.

The CIS has been playing an influential role as regards high carbon wire rod in the Pakistani market, with many local buyers reacting positively to its competitive offers. Although the shipment date is closer for Indonesian offers compared to the CIS offers, some buyers that are satisfied with the CIS origin wire rod have chosen to ignore the longer shipment time.
