Import wire rod offers in the US

Offering prices for boron-added rod from Chinese mills for the US have decreased by approximately $20 /mt in the last week, with most offers now ranging from $1,060 /mt to $1,070 /mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports. This price range does not include the possible tax increase for these rods, which the buyer would have to share with the mill.

Import wire rod offering prices for the US from Turkish mills have also dropped further in the last week, and now range from approximately $1,190 /mt to $1,200 /mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports.
