Chinese wire rod offering prices for the US have not changed since last week, remaining at a range of $585 /mt to $595 /mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports. Imports of 5.5 mm are restricted and carry extras. It remains to be seen how much of the Chinese government's recently announced export tariff on wire rods and other products mills will add onto wire rod export prices.
Offers for drawing quality import wire rod have also not changed since last week, and remain at a range of $610 /mt to $620 /mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports.
