Import wire rod offers in the US

Chinese wire rod offers have increased by $10 /mt since last week, now ranging from $485 /mt to $495 /mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports. As usual, grade 1008 and 5.5 mm size rods are restricted. Turkish mesh quality wire rod offers have also increased by $10 /mt since last week, and are now being offered for $510 /mt to $520 /mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports. Offers for drawing quality import wire rods are also up $10 /mt, now ranging from $530 /mt to $540 /mt CFR FO in US Gulf ports. Some South American mills are aiming for prices $10 /mt to $15 /mt higher than the above.
