SteelOrbis has been informed that the imported rebar price in the local UAE market currently stands at AED 1,850-1,950/mt ($504-531/mt) delivered to site, on theoretical weight basis, with three-to-four month deferred payment. Prices have this week remained unchanged in the UAE's domestic rebar market. However, the weekly increases of around $10-20/mt in export offers given by Turkish mills to the UAE, as well as the price inquiries of traders and end-users in this region to Turkish mills, have given rise to the expectation that the market may show a recovery.
