In the current week, demand for Turkish wire rod in the export markets has remained slack. Turkish steel producers have increased their wire rod export offers further due to the ongoing upward price movement of billet and import scrap. Turkish wire rod offers to the export markets have risen by $20/mt during the past week to $510-520/mt FOB. Also, SteelOrbis has been informed that a Turkish steel mill has this week offered wire rod to the US at $540/mt CIF.
