Hebei Steel Group issues construction steel prices for late May delivery

On May 20, major Chinese steelmaker Hebei Steel Group has issued its guidance prices for construction steel products of its subsidiaries for delivery in late May (May 21-31), mostly keeping prices stable compared to its prices for mid-May (May 11-20). The details are as follows (comparisons are with mid-May prices):

1. Wire rod and rebar products from Tangshan Steel, Xuanhua Steel and Chengde Steel

a) The price of HPB 300 6.5-10 mm high-speed wire rod remains unchanged at $595.4/mt.
b) The price of HRB 335 18-25 mm second grade rebar is still at $579.1/mt, but prices of 12-14 mm second grade rebar and anti-seismic rebar are up by $13.05/mt and $4.89/mt respectively.
c) The price of HRB 400E 18-25 mm third grade rebar remains at $587.3/mt, but the price of 12-14 mm diameter is up $13.05/mt.
d) The price of HRB 400 8-12 mm coiled rebar is unchanged at $587.3/mt.

2. Wire rod and rebar products from Handan Steel
a) The price of Q235 6.5 mm diameter high-speed wire rod remains unchanged at $574.2/mt.
b) The prices of HRB 335 18-25 mm second grade rebar and HRB 400 18-25 mm third grade rebar remain at $587.3/mt and $588.9/mt respectively. Furthermore, the price of anti-seismic rebar is up $3.26/mt.
c) The price of HRB 400 8-12 mm coiled rebar is unchanged at $587.3/mt.
 
All the above prices are ex-works and include tax.
