The construction industry in Greece continues to remain practically at a standstill due to the ongoing economic and political crisis, while overall trading in the country is still being affected negatively.

In the Greek domestic rebar market, prices have remained unchanged since last week at €550-650/mt ($688-813/mt) for deliveries to customers on actual weight basis and for cash payments, exclusive of VAT, while transaction activity levels are fairly low. In the meantime, foreign suppliers accept to work with Greek buyers only on cash payment basis, though no import offer has been heard lately.
