Global billet prices continue to surge upwards

With global scrap prices starting the current week again on a rising trend, Chinese and ex-CIS billet offers to the export markets have also continued their upward movement. Since yesterday, April 18, ex-CIS billet prices to the export markets have increased by $10/mt on average to $400-410/mt FOB, while also since yesterday Chinese billet export quotations have risen by an average of $20/mt to $380-390/mt FOB.
