Ex-CIS billet offer prices to Turkey move sideways

According to market sources, ex-CIS billet offers to Turkey have remained stable during the past week at $295-300/mt CFR, for October shipment. Meanwhile, Chinese billet offers to Turkey have also remained unchanged over the same period at $282-283/mt CFR, maintaining their competitive advantage in the Turkish market after the Feast of Sacrifice holiday. Market players state that Turkish buyers are adopting a wait-and-see stance after the holiday and are in particular keeping a close eye on import scrap prices.
