Ex-Georgia billet offers fail to attract Turkish buyers

According to market sources, Georgian 100 mm x 100 mm 3SP/PS billet offers to Turkey have declined by $35/mt over the past three weeks and are now standing at $450/mt FCA, for October production.

Meanwhile, due to attractive Chinese export offers, Turkish billet buyers have been showing little interest in Georgian billet offers. Turkish buyers are expected to step up their negotiations on Georgian billet offers in the coming period, which will likely result in a further softening of the billet offer price in question.
