SteelOrbis has learned that ex-CIS mesh quality wire rods are being offered to the export markets at $960-970/mt FOB on actual weight basis for June shipment.

The CIS producers have increased their prices in April. It is heard that some producers in Russia have been mentioning price levels of up to $1,000/mt FOB Black Sea. However, these price levels are hardly likely to find general acceptance in the export markets.
