SteelOrbis has been informed that ex-CIS wire rod offers are at $560-565/mt FOB Black Sea, indicating no changes since last week. Any upward price revision from CIS wire rod mills for foreign buyers is expected to fail to gain acceptance as CIS mills are in intense competition with Turkish and Chinese suppliers.

Meanwhile, CIS wire rod offers to Europe have also trended sideways since last week, remaining at $590-610/mt DAP. Europe is the most active market for CIS wire rod export sales.

In addition, CIS offers for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region can be found at $555-560/mt FOB Mariupol.
