SteelOrbis has learned from market sources that ex-CIS steel billet offers to the Omani market are currently standing at $610/mt CFR. Buyers believe that these offers may regress to $600/mt CFR for firm bids. Nevertheless, given that import rebar offers to Oman are at $620-625/mt CFR and that local steel billet prices are at $585-590/mt ex-works, buyers are unlikely to show interest in prices above $590/mt CFR for steel billet import offers.
