Overall demand for billet has been maintaining its strength due to the rebar deals concluded to Eastern Europe and the Middle East. The billet price levels in the local Turkish market have this week been in the range of $1,280-1,300/mt ex-works excluding VAT, while the price levels in the Turkish billet export market have been standing at $1,280-1,320/mt FOB.

The Ukrainian producers have been offering billets to the export market in the range of $1,180-1,220/mt FOB Ukraine, while some traders with previously taken positions have been offering at $1,160/mt FOB Ukraine.

Billet prices have also been increasing in Spain due to the rise in overall base prices. Billets are currently being offered to the Spanish export market at €780/mt ($1,222/mt) FOB Spain.

Finally, billet prices in the local Bulgarian market have this week been in the range of $1,170-1,200/mt ex-works, excluding VAT. The price range in question has almost remained unchanged compared to last week.
