The price level for rebar in the local Egyptian market is at EGP 4,150-4,200/mt ($748-757/mt) ex-works, including five percent VAT, on actual weight basis.

With the start of February Egyptian producers have increased their prices. In addition, when the current local prices and the five percent export duty are taken into consideration, it seems that the export offers of Egyptian rebar producers are likely to be above $740/mt FOB.

US$1 = EGP 5.55
