It is observed that domestic wire rod prices in Turkey have softened slightly during the past week. Market sources state that, while supply remains tight in the local Turkish wire rod market, demand has slowed down during Ramadan, adding that wire rod supply volumes may increase in the coming days. Additionally, it is reported that Turkish wire rod producers are in some cases offering discounts of around $5-10/mt depending on the buyer and the tonnage.
