Domestic rebar prices in Italy decline further

According to sources, local producers' domestic rebar prices in Italy are currently at €385-395/mt ($408-419/mt) ex-works, indicating a further decline compared to the €400/mt ($424/mt) level seen last week.

Demand is still very weak in the local Italian rebar market and the recent decrease in local scrap prices has put further negative pressure on rebar prices. Furthermore, rebar exports from Italy to Algeria - the main export market for Italian producers - are still blocked due to the lack of news about the release of rebar import licenses in Algeria.
