Diverse trends in local Turkish rebar market

According to market sources, rebar prices in the local Turkish spot market have indicated diverse trends since November 20, with prices in the Marmara and Izmir regions decreasing by TRY 10/mt, while prices in the Iskenderun and Karabuk regions have remained unchanged. On the other hand, prices on US dollar basis have declined by $9-13/mt due to the fluctuation of the exchange rate in the same period. Market sources state that, despite the strengthening of the US dollar against the Turkish lira, weak demand prevented any upward revision of prices.
