According to market sources, domestic producers’ prices on Turkish lira basis in the local Turkish structural steel market have been revised downwards by TRY 10-20/mt on average during the past week against the backdrop of weakening demand, despite the strengthening of the US dollar against the Turkish lira. Buyers’ purchasing activity is slack due to Ramadan and the continuing political uncertainty in Turkey and this situation is expected to continue until the end of Ramadan.
