Demand still slack for Turkish merchant bar in export markets

According to market sources, Turkish merchant bar export prices have increased by $20/mt to the levels presented in the chart below during the past week due to the strengthening of the US dollar against the Turkish lira. Market players state that buyers in the Middle East have slowed down their purchasing activities ahead of Ramadan and plan to wait and observe market sentiment and trend of the market after Ramadan.
