During the past month, demand in the local Turkish merchant bar market has remained at low levels, while domestic merchant bar prices in the Turkish market have moved down in the same period against the backdrop of the decreases seen in the global billet market. Meanwhile, demand in the local Turkish merchant bar market is not expected to revive in the short term due to the approach of Ramadan which begins on June 6.
